Neither cross, nor crucifix

Re: “Put up symbols of all faiths” Tuesday, June 11. I’m sorry but religion brings argument of beliefs and only serves to distract from important relevant school curriculum.

A cross only conjures up the brutality around it, which isn’t good for young growing minds. The crucifixion of Christ was a senseless act of murder. Had he been allowed to live and educate families on how to raise children, we’d all be better off for it.

Instead of a cross or, worse again, a crucifix, why not put up a picture of the Madonna babe in arms and focus on eradicating bullying, which religion laid the ground for in a myriad of ways, by neglect and blatant abuse.

I heard of children nailing frogs to a piece of wood, I wonder where that idea came from? That is what happens when a young mind is brainwashed.

Well, if it's masters of war and genocide that you're looking for, Frank, we might as well stick with the old Hebrew god - no one tops him in the bodycount. (Why do I get the feeling that you don't know who half the people in my comment were....?)

If I were you I wouldn't rely on your feelings. My initial thought that you were a pompous twit has just been confirmed. So you think you are the only student of history? Bravo.
