I was down on the waterfront a few weeks ago and saw many trucks, delivery vans and offshore supply boats going and coming all day long. This is a working wharf and a industrial area, the fence in my view is a measure of safety to the public. When the work to the permanent fence is completed this will die down. Accept it, its not coming down.

Until we are fortunate enough to get an enlightened council and mayor, we will have to put up with this kind of nonsense. It's easy to do when you are not spending your own money. But it doesn't matter now, with the eyesore going next store to The Keg restaurant, the harbour front has been ruined. On another note, I would love for someone at The Telegram to investigate and tell us what the farce of road calming on Old Topsail Road cost us, before the election in the fall would be great.

Please explain how the building is an "eyesore". The traffic calming is the result of countless complaints from residents about people speeding down the road? So, what do you think is better? A few thousand dollars on this "farce" you speak of, or someone getting killed by a car driving 70 down Topsail Road. Perhaps you should run for council?
