I have never written The Telegram before condemning other peoples opinions, but this time I feel compelled to do so. I refer to the idea of removing the statue of St. Clare from St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital last week, becasue it bothered some lady who was apparently there to see a doctor for some help for an ailment.
Well now, we have to honour and bow to these people just because they don’t like crosses or statues? Also crosses on schools? Why do these symbols bother some people?
I don’t go around looking to see what I can find to complain about. We will soon have to take crosses and statues from our churches next.
We’d better be vigilant or we soon wont be allowed to go to churches. Chaos reigns in our schools — no religion, no morals, no respect, no sign of the cross or morning prayers for our little ones just starting school.
Everything as it once was is gone. The devil is alive and well in our world today.
