Dunderdale wise to approach Quebec counterpart

I would like to congratulate Premier Kathy Dunderdale on her initiative to have a meeting with Quebec Premier Pauline Marois.

She stated “both provinces will work to find a solution that works for the people of Quebec and for the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.”

Confrontation, rather than dialogue, serves no useful purpose. Quebec is our nearest neighbour (we share a common border in Labrador) and we have many common interests. I’m confident this dialogue will result in both provinces benefiting from this initiative.

One minute they are strangling Newfoundland and the next minute, we are having tea with them.

Didn't Marios initiate the meeting? Dialogue or confrontation has never met with anything positive in dealings with Quebec.
