The post office has been complaining about losing money lately. The solution is simple; lower your prices, so as people like me, a pensioner, can use your services.
I sent a small parcel recently to Summerland, B.C., V0H 1Z0, 17 x 16 x 5 cm. Total weight .130 kg — cost $15.91, including fuel charge for ordinary parcel post. This, to me, is excessive and the reason I did not send parcels for Christmas this year. I sent money instead. Had the postage been reasonable, I would have sent gifts (parcels). I am an older man, 82, and do not use email and with the cost of postage rising in the new year, it will be difficult to correspond with my relatives in other parts of Canada.
