$15 to send something probably 4000km from Nowhere, Newfoundland to BC and you're still complaining. Wow.

Ah, a Newfie accountant! People like you must think that when you go to a hospital, everyone there is a volunteer. After all, it's "free" right?! Hint: The $15 you pay to send that "something" comes ON TOP OF the $100 or more the rest of us have already been forced to subsidize the delivery of your "something"....forever. If people paid a fully-allocated, market price to send stuff, Canada Post would be finished yesterday.

You don't seem to grasp Canadian socialism and "union economics". The post office exists to provide iron-clad job security and ever-increasing benefits to every one of its employees. Delivering mail is just a historic irritant --- doing so for a reasonable price to the customer is just plain crazy.

Did Fedex or UPS. They typically cost more. There are also some prepaid envelope options that likely would be cheaper than what you used as well. When you price in inflation, the real cost of postage hasn't really increased since you were 18 and not 81.
