Father J. Kevin McKenna, Gonzaga High School’s first principal, was a remarkable educator and gentleman.

He took charge of a not-quite finished physical building, an unfinished but keen staff, and a goal for what an education could be.

With charm, firmness and managerial finesse, he coached his team through each school year with a huge capacity for fairness and collegial sensitivity.  Consequently,  his young staff responded with loyalty and equal energy.

It was a privilege to have worked with Father Kevin.

Go with the angels. RIP.
