Dean MacDonald is quoted as saying he’d like to reach out to Tom Osborne and that he is hoping to get him to join the Liberal caucus.
MacDonald is not the leader of the Liberal party; nor is he a member of the caucus. He’s a private citizen, like me. If I announced I wanted to reach out to Tom Osborne, he might well think I was asking him to the movies, or to go berry-picking.
The good thing about MacDonald’s curious (inappropriate?) invitation is this: when someone new arrives on the political stage we voters need to know a lot about him/her. MacDonald’s vanity and sluggish courage — he hasn’t been elected or even declared himself — have helped greatly in this process.

Yeah because that worked out so well last time. I would'nt vote for Danny or anyone he wanted. Including Dean MacDonald. Danny just needs to go away.
