Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro submitted its proposed rate increase April 24, 2012 of 6.9 per cent, to take effect July 1, 2012. The increase was not challenged by the consumer advocate.

Newfoundland Power applied for a rate increase effective March 1, 2013.

This increase will be challenged by the consumer advocate.

I would also ask how it is that while the only two independent reviews (the Review Panel and the PUB) both could not find sufficient evidence to conclude that Muskrat Falls was the best option for consumers, Mr. Johnson somehow, somewhere, found that there was. Strange, don't your think? One could also ask "whose best interest is he looking out for?"
