I would like space in your paper to wish every success to Mr. Tom Osborne, whom I met on several occasions when I lived on Patrick Street.
Mr. Osborne came to call on polling day, I assume to introduce himself and encourage me to vote, which I hadn’t planned to do before he came.
A week later he brought by an application so I could apply for an apartment at a senior’s complex near the church.
Tom and his missus went to church every Sunday, and politians who have moral values are to be admired and respected.
On another occasion I called him because I hadn’t applied for a Christmas hamper and was short on foodstuffs.
He sent a gentleman from a food bank with a large box of canned goods and a fruit cake. (He said they were all out of turkeys.)
Good luck, Tom.

@ John Smith vote buying? By helping a constituent a week AFTER polling day? Nice try, but that, to me, is a sign of a good politician. You may not recognize that, as there aren't too many of them around.
