This month marks two years since the City of St. John’s commenced its voluntary curbside recycling program.
On behalf of Sierra Club Canada, Atlantic Canada Chapter, an environmental non-governmental organization, we would like to thank those citizens of St. John’s who participate in this program and would encourage others to join them.
Every day, their recycling efforts make this city and province a cleaner and healthier place to live. Their actions are those of responsible citizens who understand the long-term importance of day-to-day environmental stewardship.
We believe it is important to recognize and acknowledge such efforts as they are examples of people who are doing the right thing.
Once again, thank you, and keep up the good work. You are making a difference.
