The results of being stupid

“Stupid is what stupid does” … I fail to see where there is anything wrong with that rather universal statement.

If certain parties had done only one-tenth the good works that  another well known and respected party has done for his community — like Randy Simms, for example — then there would be no more poverty and privation stalking the land of those certain other neither famous nor respected parties.

If stupid did not do, nor say, what is usually expected of stupid, then the threat of what might transpire from stupid’s threats would be without foundation.

Tradition dictates that to hunt or fish one should use the implements of tradition: compass, hook and line, spears, bows and arrows; stupid says use GPS, guns, trawls, Ski-Doos, spotter-planes, night-vision glasses, radar sound-detectors, and then expect the fish and animals to survive to give again next year. And if they fail, then there is always welfare or projects; these are there anyway.

Did we learn nothing on our Grand Banks and inshore fishery? Indeed, “stupid is what stupid does” and no one, including stupid, should be exempted or apologized to.

Calling someone stupid is degrading. Implying that someone has an inborn condition that can’t be helped, doesn’t automatically make us smarter. Just as calling someone fat doesn’t make us skinny and calling someone arrogant or bald or ugly or a liar or whatever, doesn’t imply that we are somehow superior. If indigenous peoples should be traditional, then to be fair, we should all go back to the traditional life. Now where did I park the rockmobile? Willllmaaa!

Stupid, if David's minute gramatical slip disturbs you so much, why don't you go ahead and explain the proper use of grammar, sentence structure and correct the spelling for him....he may indeed be a complete dunce; and now feeling quite embarrassed! Unless,,,unless you have a problem correcting the 'slip'.....! C'mon....be a grammatical buddy!

"Hey, you got fascism in my oppressive patriarchal cult!" "You got outdated religious dogma in my dictatorship!" Mmmm, clerical fascism, a Vatican tradition since Pius XI.

David, who encouraged the aboriginals to switch to guns instead of the bow and arrow? Was the Hudson Bay Co concerned about conservation? For the Nfld food fishery, should a Nflder build a wooden punt, abandon his aluminum or fiberglass boat, and abandon his motor for a oar? Traditional hunting or fishing don't make necessary traditional ways. If so, that could be argued to be stupid.

Same thing for the "traditional" Nfld "food fishery" this year, right? 500 year old technology and no GPS.

You shouldn’t end your sentence with a preposition
