A?St. John's law firm that saw its downtown offices destroyed by fire over the weekend will remain open for business.
In a statement released today, Steve Marshall, a partner with Roebothan McKay Marshall, said the firm will announce a temporary location in the coming days.
"We are thankful that all of our staff and partners are safe. That's the real blessing - the rest of it, we'll get through it," Marshall said.
"The fire will not hinder our ability to service current and future clients. Our firm's present priority is and will continue to be providing the level of service our clients expect and deserve."
Marshall said the hard drive containing client data was retrieved and that back-up data files were also contained off-site.
"We'll get through this with minimal disruption," added Marshall.

Meanwhile, the owner of a book publishing business located in the same building is also taking stock of her losses.
Rebecca Rose of Breakwater Books said she will be meeting with insurance adjusters today to evaluate the damage.
The business was spared from the fire, but sustained some smoke and water damage.

Anothern excellent job by the city firefighters. They even managed to save west end of the office part of the building. This also shows the necessity of proper firebreaks as according to reports the west end of the building. No wonder they are considered the best in North America at dealing with this type of fire.
