On Tuesday, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary issued a warning to parents and children about reports of an older man or men approaching children in the St. John's-metro region and offering them a ride or candy. The RNC also offered tips, including teaching children not to trust strangers and not to feel that they have to speak to them.
