Here are the results of the poll.

Because our results are rounded, a single vote may not seem to affect the percentages below. Rest assured it does count for the calculation of the results.

Results of the survey

The RCMP and Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said Thursday child pornography involving the internet is on the increase. Recently, three Newfoundland men were arrested as part of a national joint forces sting to crack down on the production and distribution of child pornography. The police involved in these investigations are warning parents and caregivers to become more aware and monitor children when they're on the internet to protect them from harm. Do you believe children should always be monitored by a parents or caregiver when they're on the internet?

  • 42% Yes
  • 2% No. With increased use of computers by children and youth, it's not always possible to monitor their activity.
  • 55% I think it's better to teach children the dangers, rather than constantly monitor them.
