“Under the Covers” was presented by The Telegram with all proceeds going to the Warm Hearts campaign for Iris Kirby House, a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic abuse on February 22, 2014. The evening featured performers Sean McCann, Mark Critch and Shaun Majumder of “22 Minutes,” Lynda Boyd of “Republic of Doyle,” Chris Andrews of Shanneyganock, Mary Barry, Ian Foster and Chris Kirby, as well as comedian Sarah Walsh and The Neighbourhood Strays. The Telegram’s Tara Bradbury, who heads the Warm Hearts campaign, said, “We realize we won't be able to end domestic violence with this campaign. But if we can provide some comfort to victims and let them know they have the support of a community that cares about their well-being and safety, maybe we can start to change things in years to come.” — Photos by Keith Gosse/The Telegram
