Igor aftermath

Hurricane Igor will be a storm to be remembered in Newfoundland and Labrador. It won’t be just Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, when the heavy rain, high winds and ocean surges hammered the province, but the days after as residents and communities assess and deal with damages and cleanup. There has been the isolation of communities, widespread power outages, much property damage. There is a missing persons case on Random’s Island resulting from Igor. These photos were taken during the storm and its aftermath. Photos have been submitted by readers and taken by Telegram staff.
