A moose weighing about 500 pounds led provincial wildlife and RNC officials on a short chase from the Prince of Wales Collegiate school area on Paton Street and through the Memorial University campus. The animal was tranquilized and taken back to the wild.

A moose weighing about 500 pounds surveys the surroundings from atop a lawn on the Arts & Culture Centre property in St. John's Thursday morning. The animal led provincial wildlife and RNC officials on a short chase from the Prince of Wales Collegiate school area on Paton Street and through the Memorial University campus.
