Wooden boats

The Leah Caroline, a wooden schooner built by 82-year-old Henry Vokey, was launched into Trinity Harbour on July 7.

With the addition of sails this week, the Leah Caroline will be ready to head out into Trinity Bay. — Photo by Ashley Fitzpatrick/The Telegram 1 width:500px;height:375px With the addition of sails this week, the Leah Caroline will be ready to head out into Trinity Bay. — Photo by Ashley Fitzpatrick/The Telegram 2 width:500px;height:375px The Leah Caroline was made by Henry Vokey of Trinity and named for his late wife, Caroline and his great-great-grandaughter.— Photo by Ashley Fitzpatrick/The Telegram 3 width:500px;height:375px As music played, the visitors came and went aboard the newly built two-masted schooner Leah Caroline on Saturday afternoon. — Photo by Ashley Fitzpatrick/The Telegram 4 width:500px;height:375px The Wooden Boat Museum of Newfoundland and Labrador in Winterton. — Photo by Ashley Fitzpatrick/The Telegram 5 width:500px;height:375px
