Labour day fun

Hundreds of people attended the annual Family Fun Day and Barbecue Monday at the Swilers Rugby Club. The Labour Day event featured activities for the young such as bouncy castles, face painting, balloon animals and sack races as well as a barbecue, entertainment and live music for people of all ages. Local labour leaders as well as provincial and federal NDP members were also in attendance. The event was sponsored by the St. John’s and District Labour Council, the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour and the Canadian Labour Congress. Photos by Keith Gosse/The Telegram
