Time has taken its toll on the hulk of the whaling vessel Sposa at Lower Cove, Kitchuses, Conception Bay. The Sposa, one of a fleet of five whaling vessels, was brought to Kitchuses for scrapping but, a storm in the 60s caused the vessel to sink. Two other vessels from the fleet were also brought to Kitchuses, but were later sunk somewhere off Bacon Cove.
