Olympians take to ice to instruct local female hockey players

About 150 female minor hockey players were treated to a coaching session by two gold medal Olympic hockey players Saturday at Mile One Centre. Hockey champions Sami Jo Small and Tessa Bonhomme were in St. John’s for the first Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest. The young hockey players were treated to a day of skills training by the two Olympians. The event was part of the Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada event, a coast-to-coast celebration of hockey in this country.
