A fire continuing to burn in Labrador west has covered more than 6,500 hectares, according to a representative for the Department of Natural Resources. The representative has confirmed government response teams have focused on keeping the fire from reaching any closer to the Town of Wabush. Still, residents of that town were asked to evacuate Friday evening.
