Hey Edgar love to see the stats you are talking about. Also the team is well represented by all teams in the league. Why don't you let me know who you are so I can put in a good word with the coaches since I am their "GoldenBoy"

Ricky Bobby..... Explain how Newfoundland rugby has a poor talent pool. Actually forget it. Just be sure to tune in to the World Cup of Rugby in a few weeks and you will see 2 Newfoundlanders (Ciaren Hearn and Frank Walsh) and 2 other players from The Rock that play with the world cup squad (Jebb Sinclair and Chauncey O'Toole). Not to mention the non-traveling reserves named to that team (Kevin Parfrey and Tyler Wish) . That doesn't define poor talent in my books. You're also forgetting the other players from The Rock that have caps for Canada, or would have if other commitments weren't priority, that decided not to play for Canada, i.e: Rod Snow, Peter Densmore, Mike Rudofsky, etc. Way to support local athletes everyone!!!! Class!!

Jeff..... Ricky Bobby doesn't say there is a poor talent pool, he says there is a small talent. He is actually praising the rugby program, which is well deserved based on it's sucess. Maybe you shouldn't be so defensive.

Not being good enough has nothing to do with it. Stats don't lie..Especially in baseball..so get your facts straight, then comment..Silverboy..

Great Pitching?? How is that ? The Coaches Golden Boy got lit up in game two..After being away for 10 years. The other golden boy got lit up in just an innings of work in releif. The pitching is now weaker than anytime they will go to the Nationals.. The true Allstars are again left off the team because of Color preferance..

Why not take a few pointers from rugby. They have a smaller talent pool yet consistently win medals.

Great... this means that the Caps will get to go to the Nationals and get kicked around for the 12th straight year. It's the same scenario that we see with both men's and women's soccer. They load up one team and run roughshod through the local leagues and then go get pasted at the national tournament Thanksgiving weekend. Here's a thought... why not diversify the local talent and enjoy the summer season since you're not going to do anything at the nationals anyway.

Explain to me how this helps baseball in our province, St. John's should be fielding 2 teams for the Provincials each year.
