The first two games of The Telegram Herder Memorial Championship series between the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts and the Clarenville Caribous, played at Mile One Centre in St. John’s last weekend, set the stage for some great senior hockey again this weekend at the Pepsi Centre in Corner Brook as the series continues. Telegram Sports editor Robin Short and sports reporter Kenn Oliver give their take on the first two games, and what to expect this weekend. Also, with Short being a big Montreal Canadiens fan, the two comment on the firing of the Habs GM and what it means for the storied franchise’s future after a dismal season.
Sorry Carbonear Canadiens, Ken stated that game 3 was tonight, earlier in the story, and that games 4-5 were sat-sun. Quick to point out errors.
Good luck to both teams tonight. Predicting the caribous to leave the Pepsi Center with the herder on sunday. Predicting a road block near aspen brook outside of gfw. A Passport, an I hate HNL bumper sticker, and An autographed Jack Lee 5X7 is required to pass through.
