Kelly's Pub wins national junior softball crown

The Kelly’s Pub Junior Canadians claimed gold at the national junior softball championships in Owen Sound, Ont., on Sunday.

The Newfoundland and Labrador team defeated the host Owen Sound Selects 5-3 in the championship game.

Playoff MVP Mark Power tossed the win, his third of the day after games in the tournament’s playoff round had to be suspended until Sunday morning following two days of rain the region.

The national title is Kelly's Pub's third in the past six years.
