bring it home boys..one colour GOLD. Its great to see ball hockey making a huge comeback in Newfoundland, Terry Ryan, Ian Moores and Peter Cabral should be applauded for this. It is not unusual at the national or world level to have some forms of imports, it happens in every sport. I cant wait to see our Newfoundlanders playing next year at the World Championships in St. Johns.

Our team is from Edmonton (Voodoo) we played in the provincials in Calgary this year. Competition was tough...but nothing like I saw in the Nationals this year wow! I was fortunate to watch the Black horse all week here in Edmonton And was cheering them on. This is an amazing team to watch. All week they could do no wrong. Justin Pender was on fire shooting from the blue line. I watch the gold metal game today and was disappointed at the out come. Montreal Red Light picked a good game to have their best game. And the Black Horse unfortunately had their worst game of the tournament. Happy G

the effort being put by several Newfoundlanders to bring ball hockey back to its hayday is awesome!! Terry Ryan, Ian Moores, Peter Cabral, Paul Barron should be applauded for getting this sport back in the right direction. All sports at the national level or world level always have some form of imports on the team, i hope we get to see a bunch of Newfoundlanders at the Worlds next year in St. Johns. Good luck boys bring home the GOLD!!

I am reading alot of stupid comments from people who have probably never watched or been involved with Newfoundland ball hockey. Many Newfoundlanders were asked but because of work committments etc. couldn't make the trip. Do you really think that the rest of the teams here are not picking up players. Use your brains! No different than picking up players for the Allan Cup. Over 90% of the players are Newfoundlanders and we are proud of them. Go Newfoundland!

ball hockey is so full of maniacs that shouldn't be allowed out of the house let alone in a rink.

I know right, If they were allowed more the 6 picks ups i am sure it would be just terry and the rest of the Montreal Black Knights and still be called NFLD. I guess thats now he makes Team Canada every year the Black Knights coach is Team Canada coach.

I agree, team should be composed of a full squad of locals. We won two years ago with a team full of nl'ers, why now do we need the help of Quebec and Alberta to fill out a roster. I obviously home they bring home the gold, but like the rest of us NL'ers, we would've rather they did it with locals. We have one of the best leagues in Canada, but felt the need to add players from elsewhere, but with Terry and Ian at the helm, it's no surprise.

There are more than enought guys here that could have played and are not, heard that if Donnie Gosse played with NL, he could not play with team Canada, dont make sense because im sure TR and PC and others will play for team Canada and Portugal (PC),and im sure others playing for NL can make team Canada

Maybe if fellows like Ryan thought more of their province rather than themselves we would stand more of a chance. Also, picking up players from other provinces and still calling the team Newfoundland is a farce

Yes shaun fagan is a friend of Ian's, i don't think he played ball hockey in his life. It isn't right that they picked up players from Montreal when we have enough talent that played in the Molson Ball Hockey league this year. The team should of been made up of Newfoundlanders not NL and Montreal. PS. Donny Goose wanted to play with Edmonton but Paul Barron wouldn't let him so he said no to NFLD...Cheers

Shaun Fagan? The Pride of Aldershot Street. Was never much of a ball hockey player, but I know he's a buddy of Ian's. Hopefully he grew 9 inches and gained 50 lbs. Good luck boys.
