The NHL is nothing more than billionair owners fighting with millionair players..If they NEVER play again it wont bother me. GREED GREED GREED.

some of these players wouldn't even get a game in the old 6 or even in the old 1967 nhl expansion league. these players are nothing compare to the players back in the 60/70's. million dollars for a player for what? the league is a joke and i for one will not watch that garbage, i hope fans will do the same.

bobby orr was a player , these overpayed players today, i wouldnt pay a dime for, for example: a player getting 5 million a season and only scores 10 goals. something wrong with that picture.

a jets fan, the city of winnipeg survived long before the jets arrived, and they will survive again. winnipeg can't afford that team, the mts centre is too small and the prices are way too high. anon is right maybe those owners/players should work for a minimum wage for a while and see first hand what its like to live day to day instead of depending on fans to pay their wages. WHAT A JOKE THE NHL AS BECOME !

B'ys aren't gettin paid enough to bat a piece of rubber around the ice into a little net? Maybe they should try haulin some crab pots - or better yet, luggin construction materials for minimum wage and see how much money they aint makin.

That's not even the argument here. Of course you're right, but the amount they get paid to play a game vs. the amount people get paid to do hard blue collar work... well, that's just not the issue here. Let's put it this way: name ONE other profession where the employees would be happy to cancel out the contract that they and their bosses had already agreed on, to take a pay cut that would benefit the bosses. That's the issue.

Hey IceCaps fans - in the event of a lockout, would you mind sending the team back to the 'Peg for a few games? We're a little terrified at the prospect of facing a winter with no hockey at all. Signed - Winnipeg

i sum it up this way : owners/players GREED, its not about the fan as owners and players want you to believe, its all about their own selfish GREED. there is a solution to it all fans, BOYCOTT. here in winnipeg tickets, food vendors, parking, and other products prices gone through the roof. ABSOULTELY DISGUSTING.
