My first Icecaps game at the Mile One last night. The Icecaps vs Albany. It's my last game. Booooorrrrring game. I expected more and better for my money. They looked like High School hockey players. I'll stick with the Avalon East Senior and the NLSHL for good and better hockey... Bye-Bye Icecaps........disappointed fan.

What's the excuse tonight? Down 3-0 again. Time for a shake up - wouldn't hurt seeing some of these guys show some grit and mix it up a bit. looks to be a long season at this rate.

McCambridge is really sounding like he has no clue. He knows his team is having major trouble scoring, and he says he knows Whitmore can score. So why isn't Whitmore playing? The "high-quality" veterans he's choosing to dress are not getting the job done. This is so simple, yet McCambridge can't figure it out. Time for a change.

Derek Whitmore was also on better teams when scoring the results he has in previous years. The issue with St. John's is that they are a small team that doesn't win many battles. While they often regularly outshoot their opponents most shots are not quality and come from the perimeter leaving the rebound easily cleared by opponents defense. Yes the icecaps need to score more goals and working on their very mediocre power play is a start. Otherwise at this point, early in their 2nd season the icecaps look lost without the puck finding themselves chasing and often playing from behind very early in the game. As a season ticket holder and fan the icecaps need to be a winning or a tough team (to which they are neither early in this campaign) or interest will certainly drop at mile one. Go Caps!
