It was fantastic, as a graduate of QERHS, to watch the players give it their ALL on the ice, especially the second game that went to 4 o/t periods. They were dead tired, but kept up the pace. True school & community spirit shown by all.

Each year our family looks forward to taking part in the Fred Squires Shield! It means so much to my sister, Nancy, and myself to have dad's memory kept alive and with such spirit! Anyone who knew dad (Fred) will remember his spirit for family and community. Now his grandchildren also get to experience this spirit and as they get older learn more about their poppy!!! Thank you to all the people involved in organizing the Shield...you always do a great job! As a fellow PIONEER I have to say .... Way to go guys! Congratulations! Can't wait for next year!!!

So proud to be a part of this great hockey tournament The Fred Squires Shield. My father (Fred) would be so proud. Go Pioneers Go!! It's nice to see his memory still helping CBS schools. Great job winning another shield QE.
