What happened on saturday night should never happened. Pender was looking for something all game. He should never be allowed to play for Canada ever again. You could tell he was being a soar loser when they got down by a couple goals. Then for the so called captain "Terry Ryan" which is a joke to defend him shows how classy this guy is. How they ever made this team is questionable. In the end the best team won. Canada could learn some true sportsmanship in watching France and Israel play. Then again Canada were unable to fit their egos in the stadium so i guess sportsmanship is out of the question. Congrats to Canada Women's Team on winning with honor

Just watched the incident on YouTube. Win or lose we as Canadians should expect better from our players who are REPRESENTING OUR COUNTRY. It might not be ice hockey but it is still an honor to be hosting an international event. This is not the conduct that the host team should have!

Pender is an embarrassment to our province and Canada. He has no place in sport.

Took in the Men's game last night and it was far from a proud moment on and off the ice. Right from the warm-up you could see which team was ready to play and it wasn't Team Canada. The Czechs were faster, worked harder and won all the battles. Some people seemed to be complaining about the Czechs diving; which I wouldn't dispute. However, the Canadians did as much , if not more diving! How many times did a Canadian run into an opponent, fall down and then look for a penalty? I imagine by the time it was all said and done the powerplays were close to equal and Canada had two; if not three, 5 on 3 pps. The Canadians lost their cool and it seemed like there was no leadership or coaching to help get the focus back. The incident at the end of the game was an embarrasment and Pender should be embarrassed. There's no fighting in international ice hockey, let alone BALL HOCKEY! Gutless, cowardly act which resulted in a pretty serious injury to an official. Its an honor to wear that Maple Leaf and a lot of guys on that team surely didnt appear worthy. Terrible way to represent this city, province and country! Best of luck to the women in the gold medal game!
