Huskies, Falcons tie in Metro high school hockey league action

The Mount Pearl Senior High Huskies’ Jesse Sutton and the Holy Spirit Falcon’s Jake Upshall scored two apiece as their teams skated to a 4-4 tie in Metro High School Hockey League play Monday night.

At the Glacier in Mount Pearl, Adam Nolan and Pierce Holliday had the other Huskies’ markers while Riley Baggs and Tanner Whiffen tallied singles for the Falcons, who rallied from a 3-2 deficit heading into the final 20 minutes.

Colin Hunt started in net for Mount Pearl, with Jordan Daly manning Holy Spirit’s blue ice.

Referee Brad Lambert called three penalties in the contest, all against the Falcons.
