Josh Fifield tossed a four-hitter as the Shamrocks blanked the Feildians 4-0 in St. John’s Molson intermediate baseball at Smallwood diamond Tuesday night.
Brad Roche took the loss on seven hits.

Brad Porter and Redmond Hunt each had two hits for the winners.

There may also have been a first for the league when Feildians’ right fielder Heather Healey went one-for-one at the plate. She is believed to be the first female to play in an intermediate-level men’s league game, although it hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Storm 12, Holy Cross 4

Storm scored nine runs over the first three innings on the way to the romp.

Stephen Trickett, in relief of starter Tyler Hennessy, got the win.

Elliott Phillips took the loss. Michael Quinn finished up.

Zach Snook had three hits in four at bats for Storm. Danny Rice had two hits for Holy Cross.
