Gerald Butt had two hits and drove in two runs to lead Gonzaga Roebothan McKay Marshall Vikings to an 8-1 win over Metro Property Management Knights in St. John’s Molson senior baseball Tuesday night at Smallwood diamond.

Keith Spurrell (7IP, 1R, 6H, 4K) tossed the win. Starter A.J. Whiffen (2.2IP, 6R, 5H, 1W) took the loss. Andrew Mercer (3IP, 2R, 4H, 5W, 8K). Tyler Holwell (2W) finished up.

Joe Fulford had two hits in three at bats for Knights.

 

Holy Cross Trinity Pub Crusaders 13,

H.J, Bartlett Storm 0 (5 innings)

Justin Crawley tossed a two-hitter and fanned three for the win.

Ron French had three hits in four at-bats for the Crusaders who scored five times in the second inning.

Steve Brien (2IP, 8R, 5H, 6W) took the loss. Andrew Dalton (2IP, 5R, 5H, 2W) finished up for the Storm.

Hill muzzles Bulldogs

Jason Hill tossed a two-hitter with eight strikeouts as 3Cheers Pub Bud Light blanked Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs 6-0 in Molson senior softball Tuesday night at Lion’s Park.

Sean Cleary (7IP, 6R, 7H, 1W, 10K) took the loss.

Colin Walsh had two hits for the winners. Doug Marshall, Kyle Ezekiel and Ryan Kirk each hit solo home runs.

Starter Donny King (4IP, 1R, 3H,9K) tossed the win, with relief help from Mark Power.

Johnny Doyle had two hits and drove in two runs for the winners. Stephen Jesso and Joey Maynard hit solo home runs.

Starter Nick Pittman (4IP, 4R, 3H, 3W, 5K) took the loss. Joel Whelan finished up.

Jubilee Trophy win for Feildians

Feildians defeated Mount Pearl U18 Terra Nova Motors 3-1 in Breen Jubilee women’s soccer Tuesday night.

Kaitlin O’Reilly, at 16 minutes, Hannah Rivkin (50) and Maxine Morris (90) had the goals for the winners.

Jenny Bent (45) scored for the losers.
