The Conception Bay North CeeBee Stars will look to punch their ticket to a fifth straight Telegram Herder Memorial Championship Series berth this weekend.

The defending Avalon East Senior Hockey League champs hold a 3-1 lead over the Southern Shore Ocean Choice Breakers in their best-of-seven league final, with Game 5 7:30 tonight at S.W. Moores Memorial Stadium in Harbour Grace.

The CeeBees opened the series with a 7-3 win at home and took a 2-0 lead with a 2-0 win over the Breakers at the Southern Shore Arena.

C.B.N. went up 3-0 with a come-from-behind 5-2 win on home ice last Saturday, but failed to finish off the Breakers in Game 4, dropping a 4-2 decision at the Southern Shore Arena.

The CeeBees have lost just one game at home during these playoffs, a 4-3 loss to the Torbay West Side Charlies Sharks in Game 3 of their quarter-final series. Prior to that, they had not lost on home ice since Dec. 5, when they fell 4-2 to the Breakers.

Game 6, if necessary, goes Sunday at the Southern Shore Arena. Game time will be 5:30 p.m. If necessary, Game 7 will take place in Harbour Grace at a date to be determined.

The Bud Light West Coast Senior Hockey League final continue this weekend as well, with a potential for three games.

The Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts and Clarenville Caribous split the best-of-seven final opener two weeks ago in Clarenville and did the same last weekend in Central, knotting the series at two games apiece.

The Cats were in Caribou country for Game 5 Friday night and are back on home ice at Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium for Game 6 7:30 tonight.

A Game 7, if necessary, is back at the Clarenville Events Centre on Sunday at 8 p.m.
