Mile One Centre - St. John's - The C.B.N. CeeBee Stars gave up three breakaways goals in the middle frame, while scoring only one of their own, to find themselves down 3-2 to the Clarenville Caribous in Game 5 of the Telegram Herder Memorial Championship Series at Mile One Centre.

Derrick Kent was sprung on back-to-back breaks and Ryan Lauzon gobbled up a loose puck at his own blue line with the CeeBees on the powerplay and skated the length of the ice, deked out Freddy Diamond and slid it in to the Herd ahead.

CeeBees veteran Chris Crosbie left the game midway through the second after being tripped by Caribous captain Dustin Russell. He did not return.

This period action is just about underway. Keep checking back for a final score.
