With four Mounties on horseback leading the way, a funeral procession for RCMP Chief Supt. Doug Coates wended its way though the streets of the nation's capital today.
Hundreds of Mounties in red serge - along with police and military from across the country - accompanied the hearse carrying Coates to Notre Dame Basilica.
Coates died in the recent earthquake in Haiti where he was serving with the United Nations.
At least 21 Canadians died in the Jan. 12 quake and 147 are missing.
