Perhaps somewhere in this 'special message' from the Queen is a token of gratitude to Newfoundlanders who also served the motherland so well.
    Perhaps not!
Let us see on July 01 as we take our moment to remember once again those of Beaumont Hamel.
We have done very well to have become part of the Canadian fabric but it is times like this that we wonder. These days we spend far too much time trying to wrestle from Canada what we fought for during The Great War. At least we get to see yet again the Spirit of the Fighting Newfoundlander............. Where once they stood!

Note to Remarkable Generation: Shut up and support our war. Besides the Lusitania was illegally carrying munitions... err... I mean puppies. Puppies and freedom.

You can say what you want about our soldiers, sir, but when you start kicking the arms industry, you have gone too far.

The only difference between that generation and the generation of today is that our side doesnt loose as many good guys when we go over see to wage death and mayhem.

WW1 was the best example of why war is futile yet again and again and againw e get involved with these conflicts and why? because of money. Thats all it is is money. Someone has to pay for the caskets, the fuel for the planes and tanks, the food clothes and bullets for the soldiers, the logistics in smart bombs, the chemicals in chemical weapons. How can there be any logic in biological war?

The United States wouldnt have gone to WWI if it wasnt for the sinking of the luistania. The American people did not want to go to WWI before this event. The Germans even posted articles in the American papers not to board the luistania becuase it was due to cross through u-boat controlled waters and they were warned that they would be torpedoed. The ship was sent over, sunk and immediately the mass public was moved to a war mentallity despite the fact that they were TOLD NOT TO DO IT OR ELSE! this is history they leave out of your text books but you can research it on google quite easily or at your library.

WWII was the same thing. They couldnt go to war without pearl harbour and when they had that warning that there was going to be an attack they waited instead until the public said lest go to war and so they did and like WWI big business owners rolled around in the profits of their factorys of death like greedy swine. War is nothing more than a cash grab and to call it inspiring or tremendous is just wrong. I mean no disrespect to our veterans as my family has veterans from both America and Canadas major wars. But the fact remains that war is a result of people being duped into spending money to kill people over sees.

theres a reason why a trillion dollars a year gets wasted in iraq and afghanistan. Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, GE, they all love it. And whats scarier is that alot of these companies that make and produce weapons are also associates or direct owners of many news networks such as ABC, NBC, CNN, Fox.

Im sure this wont be posted.
