Ocean Choice International (OCI) and the Fish Food and Allied Workers have reached a tentative agreement.
Ben Baker, the union's chief negotiator, was unable to release any details until after a conference call tonight.
He said the deal is subject to ratification from members.
Workers at six seafood plants owned by OCI voted 93 per cent in favour of a strike last week.
Outstanding issues including concessions on wages, overtime, holidays and vacation pay.
The plants are located in Bonavista, Dildo, Marystown, Port Union, and Triton.
