Struggling Michael Ryder had a hot hand, while Ryane Clowe cooled off over the weekend for their respective National Hockey League clubs.
Bonavista's Ryder had a goal and an assist, but the Boston Bruins still lost, 3-2 to the New York Islanders Saturday night on Long Island.
In Phoenix on Saturday, Clowe, who is from Fermeuse, was silenced for the second straight game in the San Jose Sharks' 2-1 loss to the Coyotes. Entering the weekend, Clowe had a 10-game point-scoring streak.

The total man games lost this season stands at 119.
Cleary is tied with Tomas Holmstrom for third in team scoring.

Pardy from Bonavista did not travel with the Calgary Flames on their brief two-game trip, which began Sunday night in Colorado and wraps up Tuesday in St. Louis.
Pardy, who also sat out Friday's 2-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild, injured his wrist last Wednesday night in a 3-1 win over the Atlanta Thrashers.
The Flames' second-year defenceman is averaging 15:27 of ice time per game this season.
