The Clarenville Caribous take a 4-3 lead to the locker room after 40 minutes of play in Game 3 of the Telegram Herder Memorial Trophy Championship Series at Mile One Centre in St. John's.

The CeeBees went up 3-2 when Paul Brown beat Caribous' goalie Jason Churchill on a penalty shot. The Caribous drew even a few minutes later when a 3-on-1 resulted in Ryan Penney netting his first of the series.

Within seconds of killing off a nearly two-minute 5-on-3 CeeBees' powerplay, the Caribous went up 4-3 on a goal from Derrick Kent.
