After 20 minutes of play in Game 4 of the Telegram Herder Memorial Trophy Championship Series at Mile One Centre, the Clarenville Caribous leasd 2-1.

Chris Mooney opened the scoring for the Herd potting a goal on a sharp one-timer pass from Ryan Lauzon. Travis Chapman put the Herd up 2-0 with a four-on-four goal five minutes later.

The CeeBees drew within one with under five to play on a goal from Chris Sparkes, assisted by Mark Tobin.

Shots in the first were 19-11 in favour of the CeeBees.

Prior to tonight's game, the Bud Light Avalon East Senior Hockey League executive presented its regular season honours. The winners were:

Max Day Award for goaltender combining sportsmanship and ability

Freddy Diamond, C.B.N. CeeBee Stars

Gentlemanly and Effective award

Dual winners: Ray Dalton, Southern Shore Breakers & Mark Chaplin, Mount Pearl Blades

Peter Picco Rookie of the Year

Top Defensive Forward award
