The Winnipeg Jets have recalled two defencemen from the AHL St. John's IceCaps.

Brett Festerling and Mark Flood were promoted Wednesday to reinforce Winnipeg's injury-ravaged blueline. Rearguards Derek Meech and Ron Hainsey are on Winnipeg's IR, while fellow defenceman Tobias Enstrom was hurt on a big hit by the Panthers' Jack Skille in the Jets' win over Florida on Monday. Enstrom has returned to Winnipeg and won't return to the team during its seven-game road trip, which is at the midway point.

The Jets play the New York Islanders in Uniondale, N.Y., tonight. The Icecaps, who have six defenceman remaining on the roster, next play on Friday when they take on the Connecticut Whale in Hartford.
