Brock Trotter's second goal of the game at 10:02 of overtime gave the St. John's IceCaps a 2-1 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Saturday night in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and provided St. John's with a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven AHL Eastern Conference semifinal

Game 4 will be played this afternoon (5:35 p.m. NT) in Wilkes-Barre.

St. John's got an outstanding game from goaltender Eddie Pasquale, who made 28 saves in a second-star performance. Pasquale made 28 stops including a half-dozen that would qualify as game-savers.

Eric Tangradi had the only goal for Penguins. It came with 1:02 remaining in regulation and goalie Brad Thiessen on the bench for an extra attacker.

Thiessen faced 18 shots, and none in the second period.
