St. Vincent's native Rose St. Croix and her husband Bob Thibeau hold a Newfoundland and Labrador flag in the stands at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., prior to Tuesday's American Hockey League playoff game between the St. John's IceCaps and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Rose, who is a native of St. Vincent's on the southern part of the Avalon Peninsula, and Bob were both members of the Canadian military. They made the four-hour trip from their home in Kingston, Ont., to show support for the St. John's team.
