Postma gets two-year deal from Jets

Defenceman Paul Postma has agreed to a one-way, two-year contract with the Winnipeg Jets. The 24-year-old Postma had been a restricted free agent. According to the Winnipeg Free Press and Winnipeg Sun, The Red Deer, Alta., native will earn $650,000 in the upcoming season and $775,000 in 2014-15. Postma had four goals and five assists in 34 games for Winnipeg during the most recent, lockout-shortened NHL season after starting the campaign with the AHL's St. John's IceCaps. In 27 games with St. John's, Postma had 18 points. He had been the IceCaps' MVP and top defenceman in 2011-12.
