The American Hockey League has released it's  2013-14 schedule and it sees some big changes for the St. John's IceCaps.

The IceCaps will be playing more divisional games, fewer times against out-of-conference opponents Hamilton and Toronto, and there will be some three-game series against visiting teams at Mile One.

I know that I cannot post insulting, discriminatory or inappropriate comment, but does that give the Telegram and its staff to do the same? I strongly suggest that Mr.McCarthy gets a hold of whoever he is insulting and offer an apology because if this individual sees those comments, it would not surprise me he would seek legal opinion on the matter. Mr.McCarthy has clearly crossed the line. I also strongly suggest that Mr.McCarthy's superiors read his comments and assess the situation.

To YankeesBye: I hope sincerely for your sake, this character assassination is not seen by the person it is intended for because you really, really don't know who I am. You really need to step back, look outside the box and see the big picture, like I said the big story is the road schedule. If you can't figure it out, that's not my fault.

It's BRENDAN McCarthy, you still sour that the Fog Devils left Hockey imposter. Your Stadium Journey Drivel about the worst Fans and Arena in the AHL is just your personal contempt for the IceCaps. Not many read your crappy pot shots at the St. John's franchise. Sure the building needs to shape up, but to say the fans are the worst in the league is a joke. The IceCaps have sold out EVERY GAME over two seasons, how many Fog Devil games that you were drooling at Sold out? NONE. The Q isn't coming back son, your little pipedream is dead in the North Atlantic. As far as the schedule goes, it's Hockey, it's inter-divisional, within the conference and now the IceCaps don't lose valuable points playing Hamilton or Toronto together 16 times a year.

How about this for a story McCarthy, AHL turns back on Ice Caps season ticket holders. Is this the beginning of the end? Fewer AHL teams will be visiting Mile One in the 2013-14 season. Last season, season ticket holders got to see 16 teams. This season, the number of visiting teams has been reduced by 3 and just 13 will travel to St.John's. And instead of the usual coming into St.John's for a pair, there's an added bonus this season. Mark these dates down, November 13th, January4th, January 17th and March12th. That's when they have the three games in four nights series. They'll feature Portland twice along with Manchester and Worcester. And two of those four will take place during an eight game home stand. Yes fewer teams will be playing this season in the worst AHL arena that houses the worst AHL fans.
