Forward Zach O’Brien will be attending the St. John’s IceCaps’ training camp on a tryout basis later this month.
The 21-year-old forward from St. John’s is coming off a junior career that saw him score 260 points in 192 QMJHL games, including a team-leading 92 points (47 goals, 45 assists) with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan last season.
This will be O’Brien’s second tryout with the IceCaps. He joined the team briefly at the end of the 2011-12 AHL season.
The IceCaps’ training camp is Sept. 23-29 in St. John’s.
