Provincial major midget league: Privateers hosting first-place IcePak

The St. John’s Privateers will play host to the first-place Central IcePak this weekend in provincial major midget hockey at Goulds Arena.

Game times are 5 p.m. Saturday and10 a.m. Sunday.

The two teams met last weekend in Lewisporte,where they split a pair of games.

“We’re looking forward to these games to show how we’ve progressed since our first games against them,” s aid head coach Doug Jackman.

“We certainly want to make our home rink a tougher place to play then whet it was during our first home set (5-0 and 8-3 losses to St., John’s Maple Leafs),” noted Jackman.

Meanwhile, the St. John’s Maple Leafs take on Western Kings at the Pepsi Centre in Corner Brook 7:30 p.m., Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.

    Biggest problem with the Privateers is their coaching. Doug Jackman isn't capable of coaching at this level and it shows.
