Add Luke Adam to the list of Newfoundlanders in Florida this March.
But unlike the vacationing set, Adam found himself travelling to the Sunshine State today for work purposes.
The 23-year-old forward from Kilbride has been recalled from the AHL’s Rochester Americans by the Buffalo Sabres, who take on the Florida Panthers in NHL action tonight at Sunshine, Fla.
After Zemgus Girgensons and Chris Stewart the Sabres were injured in a 3-1 win over the Lightning Thursday night in Tampa, the Sabres filled the vacancies with Adam, who has 24 goals and 42 points in 42 games for Rochester, and Nick Deslauriers, acquired from the Los Angeles Kings in a trade deadline deal earlier this week.
This will be Adam’s second stint with Buffalo this season. He had a goal in nine games with the Sabres during November and December.
