The Holy Heart Highlanders will meet the Gonzaga Vikings for the St. John’s High School Hockey League championship.
The Highlanders earned a berth in the final by beating the Holy Trinity Tigers 5-3 Tuesday at Feildian Gardens.
Holy Heart took the best-of-three semifinal 2-0.
Meanwhile, Gonzaga advanced to the championship by defeating the Booth Memorial Braves two games straight in their semifinal.
The best-of-five championship series opens the first week of April on specific dates to be announced later.
Grant Nolan scored twice and set up one goal for the Highlanders. Brett Vokey added pair of markers and Jake Burt scored once. Liam Maher set up two goals for the winners.
James Locke scored once and assisted on one goal for the Tigers. Steve Kennedy and Josh Furlong had the other goals.
Holy Heart led 2-1 after the first period and 3-2 after two frames.
The Highlanders edged Holy Trinity 2-1 in Game 1 of the semifinal.
Vincent Quirion and Nolan each scored once. Sam Hudson replied for the Tigers.
The Vikings got single tallies from John Higgins, Adam Caines, Tyler Hobbs an Eric Hutchings to defeat Booth 4-1 in their semifinal opener.
Gonzaga beat Booth 3-1 in Game 2.
Nick Cowley, Cameron Dunn and Michael Connors each scored once for the Vikings. Matthew Kenney replied.
